American design and decades of building yachts in Asia are among the unique assets of Transpacific Marine that benefit all owners of their China-built yachts. Over 40 years ago, the Ives, Transpac’s founders, began living in Taiwan and working in the yacht business.

Sailing their own boats in California prepared the Ives, to understand the necessity of high quality and strong, safe methods of construction that have become constant characteristics of all Transpac and Eagle vessels. The Ives’ background and experience in sail and powerboat cruising, and knowing how yachts will perform in various weather conditions, is very rare among Asian yacht builders, and has contributed to the success of Transpac yachts. Transpacific Marine Co, Ltd was incorporated in Taiwan, in 1969 under Taiwan's Foreign Investment Law, by Ennals & Nancy Ives, and Mary Chou, and is now operated by Mary Chou and the experienced Transpac staff. Mary Chou was working closely with the Ives throughout the development and growth of Transpac. Her long and varied experiences in the company have prepared her well for her current position of the company leader and President.

The Transpac staff have excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese ensuring that each buyer’s request is accurately explained to the workforce. Limited production enables Transpac to pay attention to the small details as well as to the overall construction and outfitting of the entire boat.

Transpacific Marine Co. have appointed Eagle Cruisers Australia, a division of Ram Group Pty Ltd, to represent them in Australia and New Zealand.

Ram Group Pty Ltd own and operate Nitro Marine on the Gold Coast, a successful dealership selling Mercury Outboards, Mercruiser inboards & sterndrives, Mercury High Performance, Stacer aluminium boats, Crownline, Triton, Quicksilver inflatables as well as Northstar, Simrad, Matrix & GME Electronics. Nitro Marine has been awarded back to back Mercury dealer of the year for Australia, New Zealand, South Pacific in 2007 and 2008 and Australian Stacer dealer of the year in 2009.
